Dr. Imler’s career reflects a sustained integration of clinical medicine, informatics, and healthcare leadership. His dual training in gastroenterology and clinical informatics enabled leadership roles spanning academic medicine, research infrastructure, data science, and clinical operations.

At the Regenstrief Institute, Dr. Imler held leadership positions including Director of the Data Core and Medical Director of Research Services, overseeing multidisciplinary analytic and technical teams. His leadership emphasized translating complex clinical datasets into actionable tools supporting research, clinical quality improvement, and operational decision-making.
